KMMA Tampa

Krav Maga (pronounced "Krahv Magah" and means "Contact Combat" in Hebrew) is the official self-defense and fighting system of the Israeli Defense Forces. It is recognized as the most efficient self-defense system for real-life situations.

Krav Maga Martial Arts is the school and system created by Master Instructor Stephen J. Del Castillo. The system brings the best in Krav Maga self protection, along with the very best from the many other martial arts Shihan has studied over the last 30 years. KMMA has programs for youth, teens and adults, with a special emphasis on family. While the name of Shihan’s school, the location, the staff, the style and other things have evolved over the last twelve years, the most important thing is still the most important thing- the mission.

The MISSION is to empower lives:

To teach excellence, achieved through the values of focus, perseverance and honor, and conduct all business in accordance with these same values.
To arm children with self esteem, provide them with the lifeskills of success and partner with parents and schools to prepare them to lead productive lives.
To provide the highest quality instruction in the martial arts and help people realize their personal goals through our various programs.
To provide a fun, positive and open atmosphere where people are respected, families are appreciated and community is strengthened.
To continually evolve to better serve our customers and team members and towards the realization of our mission statement and values.
This mission was written by Shihan Stephen J. Del Castillo at the founding of his first school in the year 2000- it remains our compass for excellence until this day!

KMMA values include those stated in the mission statement- focus, perseverance and honor- as well as the Blackbelt principals of courtesy, modesty, integrity and self control. It is the philosophy of the organization that we should apply the same values and principals to our business practices and professional conduct that we teach our students.
